Say Goodbye to Boring Walls!

Many of us have some walls in our house that are rather plain and boring. We just don’t know what to do with them so we leave them blank. We may try to hang up a frame or two, but we still desire to do something better with our walls. Here are some ideas for decorating those boring walls:

Remember to Bring…

Want to have a successful furniture buying trip? We want you to come in feeling prepared and come out feeling accomplished. Here are 5 things for you to remember to bring when you come into High Country:

Bring room dimensions –  Before you begin shopping, measure from baseboard to baseboard all around your room. This will help you shop more effectively and you will not have to just guess if it will be too small, too big, or just right!

Bring pictures of the room –  Before coming in, it is always helpful to take a few pictures of the room that needs furniture. This will help our design personnel understand certain characteristics of the room such as the sizes and placement of windows.

Bring samples of fabrics or leathers –  If you have an existing piece of furniture that you would like to take into account when buying more furniture or re-designing your room, bring in a sample of the fabric or leather. This will help us to be more exact when helping you shop.

leather-sample-[1]Bring in color samples  – If your room is a certain color or if you have an idea of a color for your room, bring in paint chips or some sort of sample for matching purposes. Don’t have a color selected? No problem! Our design personnel can help you select the best color for your room!

Bring your floor plan –  If your house is under construction, it is helpful to bring in your floor plan.

Shopping in your PJs

It’s your day off. You wake up around 10a.m., get out of bed, make yourself some coffee and you lounge around in your pajamas. You are wanting to go shopping that afternoon for a kitchen table. But for right now, you’re feeling lazy.

Laptop and expresso

You open up your laptop and look at your Facebook and Pinterest. You notice that Anne’s Attic posted several photos of new items in their store.

 facebook and pinterest

You begin looking through the pictures and see that they have 3 tables in stock. You don’t even have to worry about inquiring about the price because the price is in the description.

3 tables

One of the tables really catches your eye so you get in your car and drive to Anne’s Attic. You enter Anne’s Attic and find the table you saw earlier that morning on your computer. You buy it and then have the rest of your Saturday to relax. That was easy!

Shopping can be this easy at Anne’s Attic. Take a minute to follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, and follow the Anne’s Attic Board on Pinterest. Also, be on the lookout for the launching of our “shop now” feature on the High Country Website soon. This will be a great resource for you to see what we have in stock without leaving the comfort of your home! But as always, feel free to just come in and browse! You never know what you will find!

Porch Sitting

“Porch Sitting” is an activity that many people do just to relax and enjoy being with others. During these summer months, porch sitting is especially nice in the evenings when the sun is going down. There are 3 important things you need for porch sitting.

  1. You need company. Invite your friends, family, coworkers or neighbors over to your house to enjoy some time of relaxation and catching up!
  2. You need some fresh squeezed lemonade. There’s nothing like the refreshing taste of a glass of cold lemonade after a long, hot day. We recommend strawberry lemonade. Take a look at this recipe!
  3. You need some rocking chairs. That’s where we can help you! Don’t have rocking chairs? No problem! We sell Amish wood rockers, Hinkle Chair Company Slat Seat rockers, and more.
